your deposit

Deposits can be paid via a cheque drawn on a French bank, international bank transfer, or by credit card via Paypal. Full payment details will be provided on your confirmation email. Your deposit payment needs to be made within 7 days of receiving your confirmation email.

Because we have just two suites, any cancellation leaves its mark both on us and potentially on others who may have wanted to book. Your deposit is non-refundable, although a refund may be made on a goodwill basis if we’re able to take another booking for the same period (less an administration fee to cover any actual costs or losses on our part). If you cancel your booking less than 5 days before the start of your stay, you will be liable for the total cost as if you had stayed with us, less any nights that we may be able to re-book. As ever, we strongly advise that you take out travel insurance.

paying the balance

We ask you to pay the balance, in cash (euros only) or cheque drawn on a French bank, on arrival. Alternatively you may pay by international bank transfer or Paypal, to arrive in our account no less than 7 working days before the start of your stay with us.

While we price your stay in euros, and we obviously prefer to receive euro payments as we live here, sterling bank transfers may be made to our UK bank account at the day’s prevailing exchange rate. We will calculate a sterling price for you based on the day’s prevailing exchange rate (NatWest travel rates). We can only accept cash and Paypal payments in euros.

how to book your stay at grillou

We'll be open from 2 April 2012 and are now taking bookings for any time after that. We choose not to put an availability calendar on here - our particularly flexible approach to arrival and departure dates and check-in/checkout times makes it just too complex, both for you and for us: it's actually much easier just to drop us a quick email, complete the enquiry form below, or give us a ring on +33 (0)5 61 66 55 94. (You can phone us from the UK for 1p per minute (mobile surcharges may apply) by using a discount call number. We recommend Telediscount: phone 0844 8618686 and follow the instructions).

THEN

Once we've agreed your dates with you, we'll hold those dates you want for 72 hours, during which time you’ll need to confirm your booking by completing and returning the booking form. You’ll receive a confirmation email, usually within 24 hours, after which you’ll need to pay a deposit of 30%, or a minimum of 75 euros, whichever is the greater. If you're booking dinner for your first night we'll also ask you to pay for that as part of your deposit. Your booking is fully confirmed once we receive your deposit.
